On behalf of the Chair,Trustees and Volunteers of the Family History Society of Buchan we would like to welcome you to our online shop. We trust you’ll enjoy your visit, that you may find something of interest and we hope you will re-visit our site again in the near future?

Based in Peterhead in Aberdeenshire, we are one of the main resources for genealogical material dedicated to this north eastern corner of Scotland: the area usually referred to as Buchan.

We are a small charity primarily focussed on extending family history education within our locality in Scotland and we have an expanding catalogue of family history material for sale. This catalogue enables us to raise funds to continue our work.

We have started to produce our own material such as a book on the origin of Peterhead street names and also Memorial Inscriptions on CD. We also retail items, relevant to Buchan from other agencies including the Aberdeen and North East Scotland FHS.
